We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, using various cooking techniques. The Cook will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, managing inventory, and ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, using various cooking techniques
  2. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to plan and execute menus, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
  3. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality
  4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning surfaces, tools, and equipment, and disposing of waste materials appropriately
  5. Follow food safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently
  6. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control
  7. Work efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment
  8. Assist with menu development and recipe testing, contributing to the growth and success of the restaurant

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certificate preferred
  2. 2+ years of experience as a cook, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
  3. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
  4. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
  8. Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
