We are seeking a reliable and efficient Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the kitchen, including food preparation, cleaning, and assisting with inventory management. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food preparation, such as chopping vegetables and preparing meats
2. Follow recipes and ensure that all ingredients are measured and prepared correctly
3. Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and fryers
4. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
5. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Chef

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
4. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
5. Food Safe certification is an asset

Tasks

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
