We are seeking a hardworking and experienced farm worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience working on a vegetable farm. As a farm worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops.

  • Salary: 15.00 to 16.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 44 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  1. Plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables following standard operating procedures
  2. Monitor crops for pests, diseases, and other issues, and report any problems to the farm manager
  3. Operate and maintain farm equipment and tools, including tractors, tillers, and irrigation systems
  4. Clean and maintain farm buildings, equipment, and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
  5. Assist with the loading and unloading of produce and supplies
  6. Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate protective gear and using equipment and tools safely
  7. Other duties as assigned by the farm manager

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. At least 1 year of experience working on a vegetable farm
  3. Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment and tools
  4. Physical ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
  6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  7. Good communication skills
