Continue to APPLY!A Career opportunity exists for a Stock Controller based in our Support Centre in East London. We have one (1) vacancy to fill.
Purpose of the job:
The purpose of this position is for the stock controller to work in the risk department. The stock controller will be responsible for ensuring all stock takes and store audits are conducted in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
Stock Adjustments
Assist the stores in resolving any/all issues regarding non-stock delivery
Do Stock / SKU Adjustments
Ensure stores follow the correct IBT procedures as per company policy
Process IBT adjustments
Ensure stores capture packing slips correctly
Ensure Laybye procedures are followed in stores as per company policy
Ensure RTs are done regularly at stores
Conduct Laybye audits
Ensure stores are following procedures when performing Daily banking / cash-up procedures
Audit manual books
Audit cashier and manager floats
Audit the procedure in terms of VOIDs, Refunds and Exchanges in the stores – ensure the company policy is followed at all times
Stock Count
Plan and communicate with stores and management to ensure stock counts take place regularly
Prepare physical equipment (including the printing of BIN lables)
Co-ordinate the physical stock counts
Post stock adjustments
Filing of stock take documents
Ensure cost of stock count remains within the budget
Investigations
Conduct investigations ad-hoc and gather and collate requisite documentation for the perusal of the Senior Internal Auditor.
Other
Ensure there are spare keys and policy is being adhered to in terms of management of keys in stores
Document discrepancies and adjust errors ad-hoc
Co-ordinate delivery of incoming stock to various departments.
Suggest solutions to improve the risk departments processes and procedures
Providing assistance to the Senior Internal Auditor and Risk Team, is not limited to the tasks and duties laid out herein.
Advantageous knowledge and Skills
Stock management applications and procedures
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
Microsoft Office Suite- with a proficiency in Excel
Excellent typing / data capture skills
A+ N++ Certificate (basic IT problem solving skills)
Knowledge of BCX systems (Dolfin Live & Dolfin)
Minimum requirements for the job:
(You must be able to answer “YES” to all requirements listed below)
Matric certificate
Valid drivers license – Code 8 unendorsed
2-3 years relevant experience in a similar environment
Candidate must be willing to travel extensively within South Africa.
Candidate must be willing to work over weekends.
