Eligible Apprentices will be

Between 1834 years
Either have Technical Matric with Math and Science and English at 50 or more.
Or have an N2 in engineering with 3 subjects and motor trade theory.
Or have a matric with pure Math, Science and English at 50 or higher on pure grade.
Depending on the entrance requirements for some industries or qualification, a lower qualification may be accepted.
Unemployed SA citizens who reside in the region in which the training is being offered.
Must undergo general and or company specific assessment, which incorporates elements, amongst others, being career interests, literacy, numeracy and soft skills. The aim of the assessment is to increase the appropriate match of supply to demand of labour, decrease dropout rates and increase employability of youth.
Must not be apprentices repeating the internship.
May not be an existing employee of the company.
