A relevant degree in Human Resources with subjects in Employee Relations and/or Labour Relations.
A minimum of 3 years’ Employee Relations experience within a corporate environment.
Comprehensive experience in dispute resolution and representing a company at Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
Understanding and application of relevant legislative regulations, including Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act and Labour Relations Act is essential.
Proven experience in wage negotiations will be advantageous.
Experience within the healthcare industry will be advantageous.
Builds mutual trust through honesty, fairness, transparency and reliability.
Sound knowledge and application of Human Resources policies and guidelines essential.
Understanding of Employee Wellness, Employee Engagement and Employee Recognition principles and processes will be advantageous.
Upholds high professional, confidential and organisational ethics and standards at all times.
Initiates collaboration and co-operates with relevant internal and external stakeholders in achieving goals and objectives, dealing with differences constructively.
Builds and maintains productive relationships through rapport and effective conflict management
Analyses and integrates new information using a disciplined, consequential reasoning approach
Prepared to travel nationally throughout Southern Africa.
Proficiently competent in MS Office Suite.
Key Outputs
Manage end-to-end Employee Relations processes.
Ensure relevant company policies are consistently applied and labour legislation adhered to in all employee relations processes.
Ensures CCMA guidelines are adhered to, including correspondence management.
Assists HR Operations with hearing preparation and facilitation, including the drafting of allegations and chairing disciplinary-, appeal- and grievance hearings.
Ensures constructive and effective Wage Negations at relevant localities.
Provide team support to relevant employee relations related projects, initiatives and processes such as Wellness, Recognition and Engagement initiatives
Employee Relations training material is developed and updated in line with company and training standards.
Facilitates Employee Relations courses, workshops and other relevant learning interventions as required.
Employee relations related policies and guidelines are drafted and/or updated in line with relevant employment legislation
Employee relations SharePoint site is administered and continuously updated and maintained.
High ethical and Mediclinic values are consistently demonstrated in behaviour.
