The ideal candidate will assist with product launches and range management through production and quality control, food safety management system maintenance, customer complaint handling and trending, artwork review and all other technical competencies that are required to ensure brand integrity and food safety.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant tertiary qualification (BTech Food Technology / BSc Food Science);
At least 5 years working experience in a retail and/or production environment;
Good knowledge of FSSC 22000 standard and implementation thereof;
Good interpersonal skills; ability to conduct staff training;
Value optimization across product development and production processes;
Ability to assess and sign off artwork as per the South African labelling legislation (R146 & DAFF);
Good organisational skills; strong ability to manage several projects simultaneously;
Good analytical and problem solving skills;
Ability to set and improve quality standards within supply base;
Proven commercial aptitude - ability to understand and use financial indicators.
