Introduction
We are looking for an IP Engineer responsible for the evaluation, design, support, preparation and solution implementation on new and existing IP Core, WAN and LAN technology related projects.
Description
Function:

The IP Engineer is responsible for the evaluation, design, support, preparation and solution implementation on new and existing IP Core, WAN and LAN technology related projects.

Responsibilities:

Liaises and engages with external vendors, suppliers, outsourcing partners and clients
Offers technical support across practices in offering definition and positioning.
Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and / or sustainability
Provide input to sales and marketing on technical developments
Attend technical training sessions for internal stakeholders
Design, Develop and implement technical solutions based on customer requirements
Identify complimentary products that add value to core product offerings based on market needs and technology evolution
Identify alternative products and competing products to maintain market share
Guide, Coach, Mentor and Develop technical team
Provide weekly dashboards on technical schedules and responsibilities
Provide pre sales technical support for systems and larger customers
Education

Matric Certificate
University Degree in Engineering, B. Tech or Engineering Diploma
Public network services -DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ENUM
Security in Public IP Networks: DDoS, Firewalls, Access Control, RADIUS , AAA and security countermeasures
Internet service, business-quality service
IP interconnect services: transit, peering, ISPs, service levels, class of service
MPLS, QoS, diff-serv, traffic profiles and traffic shaping
LAN, VRF’s, LAN tagging
Traffic policing, shaping and Firewall management
SIP, trunking and PRI
CCNA/CCNP, HCNS/HCNP/HCIE R&S, Storage
IT network services training and extensive knowledge of the below protocols and principles:
Experience:

Experience in technology – specifically working in ICT sector (DWDM, LAN, WAN, Routing and Switching, Storage, Cloud computing)
Min 5 years in IP Design and implementation.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of IP Solutions
Proven track record in developing and defining technical product specs
experience in providing technical support and training for technical clients
