Key Duties/Responsibilities:
You will be the first point of contact for all patients, visitors and consultants and be responsible for dealing with all enquiries professionally and confidentially.
Process and book appointments and consultation requests for patients in person and over the phone
Provide administrative support to practitioners/partners, nurses and staff
Deal with all General enquiries, reverting as required
Schedule follow-up appointments
Take messages in a confidential, accurate manner
Process, capture, update and record file patient information effectively
Communicate effectively with the practitioners, staff and patients, members of medical aids, and visitors to the practice
Manage the Patient database
Candidate Requirement/Qualification Profile:
Matric Certificate
You must be quick-thinking with excellent communication skills and a professional, clear telephone manner
The ideal candidate will be personable and empathetic when speaking to patients and must be committed to delivering an outstanding service to them.
Previous reception/administration experience (ideally in a medical environment)
Strong articulate communication skills and a friendly, professional yet approachable manner.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Time/ Task Management and organisational skills
Good PC Skills (MS Word, Excel & Outlook)
A confident and resilient team player with a diligent approach
