Job Description:

Responsible for monitoring IT systems and infrastructure as well as the escalation and follow up of issues logged.
Includes the following Application monitoring -
OpsView: Application that monitors NuPay infrastructure, including all communication lines, servers, services, printers, routers, switches etc.
Visual Cron: Scheduling of jobs, rescheduling and outcome of jobs
Email: Monitor email for any errors that are reported by the various systems.
POS Terminal monitoring dashboard.
File processing dashboard.
Transaction switch dashboard monitoring.
Daily Task Schedule: Follow and signoff a daily task schedule.
More details will be provided in the interview.
Interaction and communications with banks and financial institutions.

Job Requirements:

The job is ideal for students who study part time. During the quiet periods (after hours) the student can study as long as he monitors the systems.

Basic understanding of IT and the IT lingo like Server, PC, router, network switch, VOIP, ADSL, firewall, TCP/IP etc.

Work Hours


Monitoring is done on a 24/7 basis with 12-hour shifts.

Shift changes happens at 06H00 and 18H00.

If you are reliant on public transport, please ensure that public transport exists in these hours in your area.

You will be required to work on weekends and holidays.

If you shift is scheduled to weekends and holidays you will be required to work.

The shifts are scheduled in such a way that you work for 4 days and then are off for 4 days.
