A private hospital based on the Johannesburg East Rand is seeking to employ a Registered Nurse NICU Experienced.

The facility is a 247-bed Hospital. The facilities include 7 theatres, a 24-hour accident and emergency unit with an emergency paramedic response service, an 18-bed ICU, a 7-bed renal unit and sophisticated diagnostic equipment. Region: Johannesburg on the East Rand, Half an hour’s drive east of the City of Johannesburg in the Gauteng province.

Key responsibility:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing holistic and optimal quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the NICU Unit.
Provide effective people management
Provide effective cost management
Provide effective infection control and SHEQ
Ensure effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure effective functioning of equipment and instrumentation
Ensure effective record keeping in the unit
Minimum requirements to apply:

Current registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
2 to 3 years nursing experience in the NICU Unit as a Registered Nurse
Strong customer orientation, team player, energetic and well organised
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be willing to fulfil the role in the unit according to the flexi-hours system and call system
