Introduction

The purpose of a Shipping and Costing Administrator is to process and control international shipments. Analyse the data used for costing determinations and financial reports with the aim of keeping costs down and revenues up.

Work in conjunction with the Warehouse, Purchasing, Finance departments and Forwarding Agents.
Daily monitoring and updating of shipment tracker.
Proper data maintenance: suppliers, system and shipment files.
Accurately and timeously booking stock into the SAP system.
Ensure that cost of goods balance back to the supplier invoices and costings.
Balance shipment files at month end and hand them over to finance and payment.
Liaise with Forwarding Agent for all shipments, documentations, ETAs and delivery schedules.
All queries from suppliers to be resolved within a required time frame.
Processing of short supplied, damages and Return for Credit.
Resolve issues or queries in shipment of goods within the required time frame and ensure that feedback is given to the relevant people timeously.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Ability to handle difficult situations with a strong focus on problem solving and customer service.



Requirements
Matric or equivalent.
Completed a degree or diploma in Purchasing or Logistics.
Knowledge and experience of basic bookkeeping, creditors function and SAP system is advantageous.
3 years within a purchasing and logistics environment in a similar role.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Detail oriented.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
Must be able to work overtime if and when required (during month ends and stocktake).
Clear disciplinary record.
Clear credit and criminal history.
