To prepare and analyse specimens and maintain instruments in the Histology laboratory

Requirements:
Certificate as Medical Technician (Histology Pathology)
HPCSA registration as Medical Technician (Histology Pathology)
Communication skills
Numerical reasoning skills
Computer skills
5 Years as a Medical Technician (Histology Pathology)

Advantageous:
Knowledge of the Meditech system
Knowledge of Ampath’s safety, health and environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory.
Perform special laboratory procedures in order to ensure timeous resulting of specimens.
Clean and maintain laboratory in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory.
Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.
