Your role

Does your client-orientated approach make for a smooth trading process experience? Do you want to apply your trade cycle know-how to our competitive products offering? Are you a diligent, process-driven individual?

We’re looking for a Trade Support Analyst to:

manage trade process, settlement and control for Equities, Structured Product and Actively Managed Certificate transactions, interacting with the middle and front offices to resolve trade discrepancies or operational risks
perform daily 4-eye check of trades, monitoring un-affirmed trades
manage transactional and settlement queries from external and internal clients, like trading counterparties, front office and finance
see that control processes and procedures (reconciliations etc.) all comply with our standards, policies and regulatory requirements
support ongoing client, regulatory and audit requirements on regular and ad-hoc basis
provide reporting to internal and external clients, and support ad-hoc projects (including process review and change)

Please Note: Working Hours

The nature of the function requires that it be supported between the hours of 06h30 & 19h00. Employees in this function must be prepared and able to work between the above mentioned times.
Your team

You’ll be working in the Trade Support team within UBS South Africa (Pty) Ltd; a traditional stock broking firm and a member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, SA Futures Exchange and Bond Exchange of South Africa (Non-trading). We’re responsible for timely, accurate processing of transactions and events, including [booking and handling of queries. As a Trade Support Analyst, you’ll play an important role in making sure our processes are compliant and positive for our clients.

Your expertise

Matric certificate
Bachelors degree or similar would be an added advantage
JSE Settlement officers exam or willingness to write it once joined
Ideally 6 – 8 years of previous experience in back office/Trade Support environment
BDA experience is essential
Proficient computer skills including [MS office], with advanced MS Excel
Experience of interacting with middle and front offices to resolve trade queries and issues
Adaptable, organized and able to adjust communication style to audience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
