Continue to APPLY!Looking for a Junior Bar Tender to join our growing hospitality company in Cape Town.
If candidates are seen to have the correct qualities and skills for the below job requirements, there will be a mandatory, two shift, non-paid trail at our restaurant, where you will be assessed and if you are deemed to be suitable for the position, an offer will be made to you with the exact starting remuneration, job description and other teams of the position.
Possible starting salary R4000 - R4500, dependent on your skills and abilities. There is an opportunity of an increase in starting remuneration after a three month probation period, dependent on candidates performance.
The Job will include but not be limited to:
Contribute to a positive team environment
Welcomes customers by determining their drinks interests and needs.
Prepares and beverages by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for drinks such as fresh juices, soft drinks, spirits, wine and cocktails
Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products.
Maintains inventories by replenishing and stocking stocking bar. Maintaining equipment; maintaining supplies and garnishes in the bar section
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Enhances restaurant reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills and Requirements Needed:
High school Diploma and Matric
2+ years’ Experience as a bar tender in the restaurant industry
Able to read and follow standardized recipes
Strong knowledge of proper beverage handling procedures
Able to work as part of a team in a busy espresso bar atmosphere
Health and Hygiene compliant
