SUMMARY:

To maximise the contribution by the branch through profitable sales and control of overhead expenses. Meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations in terms of the efficiency of the service we provide by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

Managerial Duties
The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a branch, including operations, product sales, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the organization's objectives.
Make certain that all branch operations are performed in accordance with established company policies and procedures, enforce the implementation of these either directly or through appropriate supervision.
Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and compliance with all regulatory requirements, and ensures that all branch personnel adhere to the same.
Ensures that the branch office is properly staffed, assists in the selection of new personnel as appropriate and makes certain that all customer service personnel are adequately trained both with respect to product knowledge and selling techniques to meet customer service needs as well as sales objectives.
Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel and provides leadership, training and supervision to ensure proper proficient executions of these tasks to meet organisation's goals.
Creates an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged.
Reviews employees’ performance throughout the probationary period and on an annual basis thereafter.
Actively identify own and branch employee training needs as well as Identifying and developing branch staff for possible future promotion.
Efficiently dealing with people management issues, as and when they arise.
Plan, manage, review and forecast the stock requirements through Optimizer to ensure that the branch always maintains safety level stock to avoid stock outs.
Regularly monitor excess, manage inactive and slow moving stock and develop strategic plans to reduce these.
Oversees stock takes and ensures that stock take is carried out as per company policies and procedures.
Responsible for the preparation of financial budgets, controls expenditures of the branch to conform to budgetary requirements, analyzing variances and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
Responsible for monitoring branch operations activities through exception reports, and carry out activities listed on the monthly branch manager checklist appropriately.
Maintains records and prepares required weekly & monthly reports.
Ensuring that branch assets are properly maintained and protected from possible damage and theft.
Ensures satisfactory audit results of branch operations.
Sales Duties

Works with the Sales Director in establishing growth, sales, and profit objectives for the branch; provides input to these objectives to the manner in which performance will be measured and controlled.
Proactively generates new customers while maintaining existing sales and ensures a high standard of sales organisation and administration.
Making competent commercial decisions in-line with branch budget to meet financial targets as agreed with Sales Director.
Develops strategic sales plans, assigns sales territory to Sales
Representatives and set sales targets for each Representative.
Directs sales activities and monitors performance of the Sales
Representatives to meet the goals set.
Responsible for evaluating Sales Representatives work performance, monitors quality of service rendered through customer feedback as well as client service reports, and ensures that Sales Representatives are maximizing opportunities to sell products.
Provides a superior level of customer relations and promotes the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation; achieves individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships.
Conducts regularly scheduled (at least once a week) sales and customer service meetings; actively encourages staff to build customer relationships.
Ensures that all sales and customer service reporting information is provided on a timely basis.
Analyses and monitors sales regularly and updates sales indicators for sales staff daily.
Reviews market trends to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates and to report on any noteworthy trends or changes to these.
Maintains good relationships with customers and regularly visits customers with sales personnel.
Monitors salespersons calling schedules and ensures that clients are being visited regularly in accordance with sales priorities.
Ensures the efficient delivery of sales quotes and that all customers' sales and technical queries are resolved promptly.
Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising initiatives.Represents Company at trade association meetings to promote product.
Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Maintains ISO compliance.
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

Three year degree or diploma in Business Management
Three to five years Branch Management experience.
Must have 5 to 7 years experience in the security industry (preferably in distribution)
Sound knowledge of security electronics or equipment.
Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
Must be results driven and customer focused.
Must be computer literate.
Valid driver licence and reliable motor vehicle.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills to effectively uncover and resolve complex customer and employee issues.
Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills required to manage, motivate, and develop branch employees.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
Ability to handle confidential / sensitive information in a professional manner.
Ability to manage multi-functional tasks in a pressurised environment, prioritize and multitask.
Knowledge of Syspro and Optimiza will be an advantage
