Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience
Purpose: Effective and efficient coordination and administration of functions including planning, controlling and organization to ensure a quality service and smooth execution of functions and events.
Key responsibilities:
Event planning, decor and production while managing all project delivery elements within set time frames
Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction from planning to end of function
Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals
Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest
Organize facilities and manage all event’s detail such as décor, catering, entertainment, equipment, promotional material etc
Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
Menu development and maintenance of a suitable and cost-effective menu
Strategic planning and organising
Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health & safety obligations
Receiving and checking in of guests
Strong Communication skills
General assistance to Management as required
Responsible for the planning and organizing of functions to ensure that the catering service is effective and efficient.
Ensure that company assets are safeguarded and appropriately maintained.
A strong sense of analytical skills, decision making, problem solving, results focused and self-motivated.
Manage customer relationships
Ensure highest possible level of customer service and dealing with customer complaints
Requirements:
Driver’s License
Grade 12
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
Hospitality experience (minimum of 5 years)
Event planning experience (minimum 4 years)
Computer literacy – MS Office proficiency
