Job Purpose
Manage the exports function to meet effective standards of service delivery and business partnering, to achieve mutual business objectives of Dulux Africa subsidiaries and external customers.
Key Accountabilities
Manage all costs and documentation for the exports function
Continuously explore cost effective and efficient method and means to distribute product into Africa.( track costs savings and initiatives)
Export Quotations/Pro-forma to export clients based on agreed pricing and inco terms as requested by the client.
Plan and execute all export orders within the agreed time frame and delivery schedules.
Prepare all export documentation in accordance to requirement of the various export countries.
Monitoring of export costs and recoveries and ensuring that they are correctly allocated to the cost centre.
Maintain a warehouse expense account for export, track warehouse/Distribution expenses and report export Distribution Cost per litre monthly.
Contract management of the key service providers, review of key KPI's and aligned actions. Maintain relationship with service providers and drive KPI deliverables in line with SLA’s
Manage service delivery interface between Exports , Dulux Africa subsidiaries and 3rd Party Exports
Compile and maintain service level agreements with all existing exports service providers ( sea freight& Road freight)
Agree and standardise all freight costs with exports clients
Agree with all export clients a cost review model- fuel rates, exchanges and inflation driven rate changes
Manage the Raw Material/Packaging function
Establish and maintain service level agreements between export logistics and raw material stores/Packaqing team.
Actively participate in transfer of Raw Materials/Packaging from the RMS/Packaging Dept. and the control thereof.
Establish and maintain a lean inbound and outbound control of Export Raw material/Packaging
Establish and maintain KPI’ and review session with Planners,
Create and maintain a database of export service providers
Manage the SHEQA function for Exports
Ensure service provider Compliance to all safety standards and Practices( e.g. Tremcards, Dangerous Goods declaration for each shipment( Roadfreight and Seafreight)
Establish and drive continuous communication/MDI platforms between the operations team and Export ( Team leaders and Supervisors)
Manage adhoc projects
Projects(1)- Initiate a Footprint Study for the export market aimed identifying the most economical customer service channel
Projects(2)- XProject. SAP commercial documents .
Provide export expertise to the company and Dulux Africa subsidiaries
Secure and enhance competitive advantage in target markets
Co-ordinate and provide marketing, technical and POS support
Optimise export processes and administration with relevant authorities: SARS, customs, freight forwarders, etc
Maintain close links with Credit Control & Finance department
Manage compliance and adherence to legislative requirements
Maintain effective record keeping systems
Business unit performance reporting as per company requirements
Meet monthly reporting deadlines
Ensure accuracy of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
Set up systems to collect, analyse data and recommend improvement opportunities
Ensure monthly financial data is accurately collated and statistics are tracked, and reported to the Logistics Manager
Experience
Minimum Matric + Tertiary qualification (National Diploma). B.Com / University degree will be preferred
Relevant experience in Imports & Exports of both Sea Freight & Road Freight
Experience of logistics documents management i.e. waybills, exports, financial instruments
Good knowledge of Incoterms
Experience in SAP/WMS/Excel and Project Management
Drivers Licence
