Our client is a mid-size, 100% BEE contractor based in Port Elizabeth. The company's been going for over 30 years and has built up an enviable reputation for construction excellence and on-time delivery. They employ around 20 fulltime staff together with around 100 wage earners.

Of importance to the employees is managements' belief in using the latest systems and equipment to ensure the best possible results.

The company has just secured a contract to build a school in Vredenburg and are looking for a competent buildings General Foreman to oversee the day-to-day construction. The General Foreman will be assisted remotely by a Construction Manager who will visit the site a few days a month, therefore the ability to work autonomously is essential.

Ideally they would like to find a person who is already resident in the Vredenburg or surrounding area (Langebaan/Saldanha, Velddrif, Ysterfontein), alternatively they will consider a person who has knowledge of working in the Western Cape.

The anticipated salary for an outstanding individual is in the region of R33 000 - R35 000 per month (gross).
