Internal Technical Sales Consultant - Print & Packaging Industry- job post

R8 000 - R12 000 a month - Full-time, Permanent

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The internal sales consultant will be responsible for maintaining current customer sales requirements, developing new customer leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. Should be able to complete sales and meet targets telephonically.

KEY TASKS

SALES

Internal Sales Consultant Responsibilities:

Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to current customers using a daily calling schedule, contacting potential customers, and following up on leads.
Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities via BICRM & Skynamo business software tools.
Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional product information via email.
Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services using Microsoft Teams when possible.
Staying informed about competing products and services and advising the business immediately where competing products or services are located,
Upselling products as per Barkev product supply listing by industry category i.e., Flexographic, Corrugated, Lithographic, labels etc.
Researching and qualifying new leads for External TSC’s
Supporting External TSC’s with daily office admin functions.
Closing sales and achieving set sales targets.
STOCK

1. Check inventory to ensure product ordered is in stock

2. Liaise with admin on stock pricing for quoting

3. If no inventory in branch, check other branches for stock.

4. Follow up with Buying dept. to ensure delivery of products timeously

5. Assist with monthly stock-take.

6. Check customers stock levels, ordering frequency and products ordered.

ADMIN

1. Receiving orders via telephone or email

2. Resolving customer queries

3. Preparing, issuing and following up of quotes

4. Prepare invoice and ensure process for placing orders is followed (storeroom, Buying Dept. despatch, logistics)

5. Liaising with branch admin to ensure all client accounts are up to date and following up with client

6. Client communication – promotions, price increases etc

7. Prepare week/month in a glance report and submit to sales manager every Friday

Internal Sales Representative Requirements:

Senior certificate. Sales related certificate or diploma.
Previous experience in an outbound call center sales or a related sales position preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong listening and sales skills.
Ability to achieve targets.

Salary: R8,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month
