Caxton Local Newspapers in Craighall has a vacancy for a multi-media journalist. The journalist will be required to research and write high-quality stories from within Joburg’s northern suburbs. They will report to their editor to coordinate assignments, are required to reach daily targets, and report effectively on breaking news and functions for both online and the newspaper. They will also be required to interact with the various communities regarding news, school activities, sport, crime, entertainment and municipal issues, both face-to-face and on social media platforms.

Requirements
Diploma/degree in journalism
One year’s experience in a newsroom
Exceptionally high standard of written and spoken English
Must have own, reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence
Must live within the Greater Joburg North area
