Duties & Responsibilities
Rosebank College Durban is looking for Independent Contractor lecturers for Bachelor of Education in Foundation & Intermediate Phase to be responsile for the teaching and development of students; the establishment of a knowledge base of the discipline through academic research & development, and academic support.


Key Performance Area:
Lecturing a certain number of modules in the School of Education
Mark and report students assessment
Plan and organize Teaching and Learning intervention through student support resources available on campus
Evaluate and give feedback to students during Teaching Experience
Contribute to professional development by supporting skills initiatives of the School of Education
Develop, monitor and support students in community engagement learning
Support the academic team
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education:
Minimum qualification

B.Ed. Honours degree
or

Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8)
or

Humanities/Arts/Social Sciences Honours degree
And:

The undergraduate or postgraduate qualification must include a module on Teaching and Learning/Pedagogy.
And:

The undergraduate qualification or postgraduate qualification must include Social Sciences or component subjects like History and Geography to at least NQF level 6 (usually the 2nd year of study)


Work Experience:

Ideally, teaching/lecturing experience in IsiZulu

Minimum 3 years teaching / lecturing / facilitation experience

Teaching experience at higher education level will be an added advantage


Additional skills:

MS Office applications, particularly: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Calendar
