Strategically manage operations in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
Manage the logistics of import and export, bulk break-bulk , and containerised cargoes for the terminal.
Loading and offloading cargo ships
Manage the expediting cargo via rail, road and transhipments
Chairing stakeholders meeting
Ensuring transport companies adhere to all documentation with regards to bulk and container discharged terminal policy and road transport
Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Responsible with the start -up of new site and ensure all SLA commitments are met before the start up
To ensure constant customer satisfactions and good client contact and communication on a daily basis.
Responsible for all commercial aspect of the business
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12/ Matric qualification
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in logistics, supply chain management or related qualification
5 years proven work experience working as an Operations Manager in Bulk and Container facility
Proven experience in working with different commodities
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Excellent computer skills (experience in Excel and Warehouse Management Systems
Leadership skills and ability manage staff
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
