The Engineering Department currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, dedicated individual to join their team in the Fitters Department. The successful candidates responsibilities will include conducting mechanical inspections and assisting the team with breakdowns on all production machinery. He/She will be responsible for conducting routine planned maintenance on hydraulic systems, conveyor belts, pulley’s, rollers and the required lubrication tasks as well as any other adhoc duties and general housekeeping. The successful candidate must adhere and comply to the Company in house maintenance program and standard health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifying Criteria

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Semi-Skilled Fitter role in a heavy industry environment
Basic computer proficiency
Qualifying Attributes:

Good communication skills
Self-motivated and results orientated
Must have sober habits
Enjoy practical and manual work & be able to work in a pressurized environment
Full understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety Rules
Ability to work under challenging conditions
Physically fit
Attention to detail
Willingness to work overtime when required
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Sound understanding of an array of tools and technical equipment

Fitters Supervisor & Engineering Manager

Permanent position

07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday
