Job Purpose
To conduct an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and
improve the organisation's operations by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate
and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes across the
Municipality.

This post reports to SENIOR MANAGER (FINANCIAL AUDITING)

Key Responsibility Areas
Provides an internal financial auditing service throughout the Municipality.
Provides integrated value for money on assurance of programmes and projects through
continuous auditing.
Prepares an audit plan that presents the need for effectiveness of audit projects and related
interventions through project management principles.
Applies professional knowledge based on audit methodology to the arrived scope of the audit,
taking into account client needs.
Manages project execution processes associated with the implementation, monitoring and
communication phases of audit projects.
Participates as a contributing member of audit teams and delivers specific team outputs.
Keeps abreast of new developments and techniques in the Audit profession.
Provides administrative support to the Senior Audit Management.

Essential Requirements
Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification, i.e. Diploma or Degree.
Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
Candidates with a Diploma are required to have completed IAT/GIA (PIA).
3 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements
Relevant post graduate qualification
4 Years relevant experience.
