Warehouse & Logistics Manager WITH STOCK CONTROL & QUALITY CONTROL EXPERIENCE

Salary: Market Related depending on experience and qualifications

About the Position

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager must ensure efficient and accurate execution of daily operations relating to receiving, picking, inventory, returns and dispatch in line with agreed KPI's. He / She must ensure that daily Operations are executed as per the documented processes: in line with LRA and that all expectations are reported and dealt with timeously.

He / She must ensure that our warehouse & on site deliveries are operating according to legislative Health and Safety standards.

General duties include the following:

Warehouse Management
Manage inbound/outbound flows to/from the warehouse

Supply Chain Management
Logistics Management
Forecasting
Budget management for warehouse & logistics.
Implement & maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) for warehouse & logistics & make suggestions for improvements
Staff management related issues such as recruitment, retention, targets, salaries, disciplinary action, performance management, unionised environment, time and attendance, training and development etc. for both divisions.
Management reports for functional superior and management meetings.
Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS). Manage EHS related matters in compliance with legal requirements (OHS Act), Responsible Care and implement standards
Desired Skills

Inventory management (stock control)
Purchasing (of consumables)
Good working knowledge of ERP systems
PC literacy (specifically MS Office suite)
Spatial planning
Good general knowledge, especially of the Western Cape
Experience in managing a diverse team.
Understanding of vehicle maintenance and care
Health and Environment knowledge and experience in implementation and maintaining there of
Desired Qualification

Relevant diploma
Matric or equivalent
Preferably, forklift experience/qualification
Other:

Valid Driver’s licence & own reliable transport
Clean credit record / No criminal record (checks will be done)
