A leading Investment Manager is looking for a IT Business Analyst to join their team.

Job Scope:

Responsible for the systematic and methodical investigation, analysis and documentation of all or part of a business area in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use across applications.
Responsible for impact analysis to identify all affected interfaces by new systems or change to existing systems.
Identifies and examines business needs and determines timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes.
Acts as a bridge between the business and the IT development team.
Documents the underlying business architecture and conducts feasibility studies, business cases, risk assessments, writes proposals, and creates functional requirements for new applications and major changes to existing applications made possible by information and communication technology.
Documentation of Test Plans and coordination of testing effort.
Key Responsibilities:

Gather and coordinate Business requirements, projects and tasks
Data analysis (SQL)
Business and process analysis as well as impact assessment
Translate business requirements into solutions
Ensure appropriate documentation are created and maintained
Facilitation of meetings, workshops, etc. to gather information
Supporting the business with regards to business and process improvement
Transfer of knowledge to users, trainers and peers

Requirements:

Experience in the following technologies will be advantageous:
SQL
Good understanding and/or experience of:
MS Office development technologies (.Net)
Database management methodologies
Experience working directly with end-users in a supporting role (or as part of a support team)
Experience in project management or working within a project team
Experience working within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment (advantageous)
Experience working in an Investment services industry
Sound knowledge of financial markets and instruments
Business and IT Data Analysis
Business Requirements Definition
Quality assurance and testing
Impact analysis
IT governance and compliance
