Responsible
to strategies, plan and optimise digital strategies that span the full digital marketing spectrum with an analytical mind with a creative edge.
Requirements
Matric
Tertiary qualification- ideally a marketing-related Degree
Seven years plus of proven experience in the strategy and digital marketing of which at least two years of experience in a leadership role
Computer literacy – Word, Excel, Internet/Intranet, HTML, advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
Proven track record of creative solutions to big and small problems
Proven experience in developing strategies
Experience in presenting strategies to client
A sound understanding of marketing disciplines and knowledge of branding/brand positioning/brand valuation theory
Required Skills

Responsibilities
Client, industry and competitor research and analysis
Target market research and analysis
Develop and maintain strategies and plans. This calls for in-depth knowledge of the below digital disciplines and areas:
Desktop and mobile channels
Customer platforms (web sites/blogs/social media)
Acquisition, conversion and retention methodologies
Digital brand positioning
Integration between digital and traditional channels
Search engine optimisation
Social media marketing
Digital PR
Content marketing
Digital media
Digital performance optimisation
Applications: desktop and mobile
Running project workshops
Presentation of pitches and strategies to senior management and clients
Marketing activity and metrics analysis and reporting
Monitor and ensure that the company remains at the cutting edge of digital developments and trends
Developing strategies that serve as a benchmark
Lead strategy on new business pitches
Being the conduit of the latest planning information
Conducting market research on changing customer needs and expectations, providing information on business trends i.e. strategies being adopted by other organisations including benchmarking and best practice, provide industry trend analyses, competitor research.
Proactively suggest new means of developing and understanding the brand
Ability to clearly articulate a strategic vision in a confident and persuasive manner to clients and teams
Monitoring cultural and social trends, and their impact on consumers’ attitudes, behaviour and perceptions
Marketing insight, in looking for actionable insights
