R20 000 a month - Full-time, Permanent

Projects Administrator and Buyer - Electrical, Solar PV and Lighting, based in Durban.

This position requires you to provide the most effective administration and buying for projects within the Electrical, Solar PV and Lighting technical streams. The position will require you to work closely with the company’s design engineers, as well project manages, through the process of proposal development and project execution.

Essential Skills and Experience in the following:

Intense knowledge of Solar PV and Electrical Equipment systems
Undertake Administration and Buying within a high paced Project Environment
Development of Bill of Quantities, with pricing, for Solar PV and Electrical Projects
Sourcing of Solar PV and Electrical Equipment
Relationships with key Solar PV and Electrical Equipment Suppliers
Working with AccPac or similar systems
Responsibilities and duties:

Project Costing:

Develop complete Bills of Quantities for Solar PV and Electrical Projects, inclusive of all equipment and installation requirements
Source suppliers for each component
Liaise with subcontractors and retrieve projects requirements and costs
Apply Rate of Exchange and Inflation to pricing were required
Develop strong relationships with new and existing suppliers to negotiate best pricing, terms and service delivery
