Job Objectives
Management of staff:

Daily scheduling of personnel to ensure proper staffing to respond to work demands in a productive, cost effective and timely manner
Conduct disciplinary discussions when necessary and appropriate according to Shoprite procedures
Perform personnel administration when necessary
Ensure that staff comply with company dress code and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
Conduct meetings every morning to ensure daily goals are met
Ensure that the Receiving department adheres to :
accurate verifying, scanning and capturing of physical goods receipts in accordance with company policy and SOPs
Prevention and return of all unordered or damaged goods delivered to the warehouse, and accurately complete credit notes for non-acceptance
Verifying and checking that deliveries and invoices are meant for the Company
Ensure optimal productivity:

Direct supervision of the day-to-day activities in the warehouse to ensure that targets are met
Ensure the flow of stock receipts through receiving is maintained, that deliveries arriving are receipted the same day and sent to the various locations
Compile and complete daily reports for Management
Ensure all physical controls over the goods receiving area are in place and operational
Walk through the department and monitor all production
Maintain a clean Receiving area
Perform investigations in resolving any stock issues
Enforce all warehouse systems processes and procedures
Customer Return Management(CRM) and Claims Management:

Receive and analyse reports to ensure efficient receipt of stock within 24-48 hours and ensure claims are logged within 24-48 hours
Ensure claims are resolved within 3 months as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Process all returns to suppliers in compliance with company SOPs
Despatch all returns that are to be uplifted by a supplier on presentation of a pick-up slip in accordance with company policy and SOPs
Oversee and manage return policy: credit note, supplier returns, warehouse credit, etc
Follow up with supplier representatives as to the upliftment of supplier returns
Liaise with telesales and suppliers to resolve CRMs and claims respectively


Qualifications
Essential

Grade 12 qualification
Desirable

Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic qualification

Experience
Essential

3 -5 years experience working in a warehouse environment
Desirable

2 years of managing/supervising staff

Knowledge and Skills
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools
Excellent communication skills– fluent in English and at least one other official language
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to accurately follow instructions
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Knowledge of receiving operating procedures, administration
Sound numerical skills- GP, mark-up, VAT, etc.
