Source products and put ranges together using the following resources: current trends and internet
Product development
Select factory and build relationships with these factories
Request all relevant data to capture on an excel costing to complete quote sheet (KPI) this includes customer specified packaging, pack size and any other requirements as per the QA manual (stickers, inserts, artwork, label requirements, colours (pantone numbers) etc.)
Quotes
Request samples based on price and MOQ acceptance by customer
Responsible for price negotiation between customer and factory
Present product to customer in the form of presentation packs and samples and follow up with customer
Keep up-to-date files of all communications, quotes and minutes (in the form of hard copies and electronic files) this must be done within 24 hours of a meeting and the relevant coordinator must be copies into the email of the minutes to the customer
Buyer liaison:
Follow-up on minutes from meeting
Follow up on the orders
Signing of sales confirmation, customer order, cost sheets
Once order is raised confirm all information i.e. units, price, pack, size, packaging, wash care label, inners, polybags + box specs, fumigation, Asia inspect, colour, artwork, dimensions of item. This must be given to merchandise coordinator to place order
Sales person must sign off customer order, cost sheet, HH Purchase order and packaging requirements before being placed with merchandise coordinator with factory
Once the final sales confirmation is raised sales person and coordinator will then discuss delivery dates that can be met and at this point the two week buffer will be outlined as well as any other extensions that will be required
Sales person will then feedback this information to the customer and ensure all extensions are received
Check and approve shipment photos
Checking and authorising all signing off of stock on arrival, before dispatch (QA to bring to sales person)
Review sales reports and give customer feedback
Monitor shipping report and QA (KPI)
Manage merchandise and administration process
Liaise with buyer if extensions in delivery dates are required with orders
Carry updated schedule of shipment/delivery dates at all times
Minimum requirements:
Good analytical and numerical skills
Trouble shooting: identifying problem areas and deciding what to do to solve the problem
Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
Systems Evaluation: Identifying measures or indicators of systems performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
Salary package for the Sales Executive position will consist out of a basic salary
