Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Fitter. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering.The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Minimum Requirements...
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
Section 26 Fitter/Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate / MIETTB (Mining Industry Trades Training Board)/ Trade Certificate through a registered body
Good communication skills in English
Valid Code EB driver’s license

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

1+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic
1+ years’ mining industry experience (underground and surface)
Good working experience in fault finding and hydraulics
Hydraulics readership expertise
Knowledge of Diesel Mechanics, Face Drill, Roof Bolter, Utility Vehicle, Manitou’s and LDV

Job Specification...
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

Maintaining, repairing, overhauling and constructing of mainly TM3 machinery and associated underground operational equipment as well as Hydraulic equipment
Supervising and training of staff under his/her responsibility
Managing and arranging that all required maintenance programs on all Site machinery, including all trackless equipment, is executed
Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
Mechanical duties per acceptable standard
Planning maintenance
